 I tried this on Sunday and it's didn't work.. now 4 days later, here I am :D.. Hope everyone is doing GREAT!!! Everything here is just peachy. Just so everyone is tracking, I still love ya, I was just tasked run the Battalion Facbook page. So, I've been diligently working on that and neglecting my own page. BUT.. I won't let it happen again! I am adding LOTS of pictures so hopefully you'll enjoy seeing those. And, please, if you get a chance, check us out on Facebook. Well... It's been a while, but I've gotten in the groove of things...  So, not a lot going on around here.  Mail is taking FOREVER!!!  it's only coming every 3 or 4 days... so a little bummy.  We've had another fun-filled "Wolf Mania" day; as you can see from the pictures, everyone had a good time.  We've had a few more award ceremonies and a couple more promotions.  O and for a week or so, we had some pretty bad sandstorms.  Other than that... no new updates... Anyhoo, I'll add a few pictures tomorrow, not all of them uploaded tonight.  With day-light-savings-time we are now 7 hours ahead of EST.

Thought I'd let everyone see what it looks like at 'home' right now... I know it has nothing to do with the deployment, but I know the Soldiers will appreciate 'home' too... So, that being said, there are new pictures of the beginning stages of the snow here.  I'm going to put more out there tomorrow too; after we get our 6 inches... WHEW HOO!! 

I hope everyone is doing well.  I will start emailing everyone when I head I out.  Right now I am just focusing on the family and having fun.  Take Care!!

Howdy!!  Just wanted to let you know that I put some more pictures in the January photos.  Not much has changed around here.  The Soldiers are working hard... Still have some incoming, here and there... no injuries though!!  Thank you again for keeping up with us!

So, we've had a couple of great morale boosters lately!    We've had over 10 awards earned by Soldiers, a few promotions ~ that's ALWAYS good!  MORE MONEY!! ~ and some reenlistment... YEAHY!

Then on top of all that, we had Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, and Kellie Pickler come see us.  The concert was great!  The guys are halarious!  I think everyone really enjoyed themselves.

As for work.  The tempo is the same... a few windy days ~ never fun!  dust in the nose... squinty eyes... hmf! ~ and the weather STILL can't make it's mind... it'll be in the 40s at night and the 70s during the day... guess you have to learn how to plan ahead if you aren't able to swing by 'home' during the day... well until next time,

Everyone is getting back in to the working mode around here.  It'll be a while before another holiday *Phew!*  But I still see lots of smiling faces right now!  Moral is still high... In spite of being rocketed periodically, life is really as good as it can be in the "Sandbox".. Oh and for those who wonder... it was about 40 degrees out there this morning... and it'll get up to the mid 60s today... That's your 'Sandbox' update...

Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more traffic here in a few days, as I just handed out the website to some of the Soldiers.  I am working on the others.  So, we'll see.  SOOOOO ah

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! over and over... I just love this day..

I think our guys(here)  have had a good holiday.  I know, we as a company, did the best we could to make it memorable and be around the B Company family (as you can see in the pictures).  We played some games... had a cook-out... played some card/board games... and had a wonderful Christmas breakfast!

Thank you again for all of those who have sent things, letters, and support!  Our troops are loving it!

Not much has changed around here.  Shiah Muslims are celebrating their religious holiday of Assura in a few days so our guys are hanging tight on the FOB.  Which is GREAT... and means they can spend time with their families on the internet and on the phone.  In my maintenance world, the Soldiers are doing a great job squaring all of the equipment away, getting services on the equipment that needs it, and not complaining.  With Christmas right around the corner they have a few things to look forward to.  We'll only a few on-call.. so they'll really be off of work, we're cooking out in the motor pool, and they are going to lots of goodies from wonderful people who care back in the States!!  So we are excited!
